La Garrofa Beach

← Beaches
15 km from Alhama

A small cove squeezed between the Sierra de Gádor foothills and the sea on the Almería–Aguadulce coast road.

La Garrofa is a short sheltered cove of dark sand, gravel and rocky seabed, enclosed by arid slopes dropping directly into the Mediterranean. It contrasts sharply with the bay’s broad urban beaches.

Access and parking are limited beside the old N-340a coast road and campsite.
