The set Sergio Leone raised in 1965, today a Wild West park: duels, a reserve of 800 animals, pools and a saloon, all in one place.
The birth of a legend
In 1965, Sergio Leone shot For a Few Dollars More in the Tabernas desert. Art director Carlo Simi designed a Wild West town named "Yucca City": dirt streets, a saloon, a bank, a church and a gallows, the set known today as Mini Hollywood.
Across this film territory were shot The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966), Red Sun (1971), 800 Bullets (2002) and even an episode of Doctor Who (2012), alongside dozens of spaghetti westerns filmed in the Tabernas desert.
Once the western craze passed, the town was converted into a theme park: it keeps its streets, its saloon and its church intact, and rounds them out with live shows, a zoo reserve of more than 800 animals, museums, restaurants and a water zone for the summer.

Park experiences
Beyond the zones, the day fills up with shows and experiences on their own schedules. These are the must-sees you shouldn't miss during your visit.

The can-can dancers' show and the cowgirls' show at the Saloon The Yellow Rose.
A corner dedicated to Native American culture, among tepees and local color.
A show of birds of prey and exotic birds in the amphitheater, with several sessions a day.
From the Cinema Museum to the vintage car and carriage museums that preserve the story of the western.
Park museums
The Cinema Museum brings together nearly 150 pieces and more than 200 Western film posters: cameras, costumes and shooting props that tell the golden age of the spaghetti western in Tabernas.
Beside it, the Car Museum displays vintage automobiles and the Carriage Museum gathers stagecoaches and carts from the Far West era. A cactus garden with hundreds of species rounds out the open-air tour.
