Two deserts, one same wheel
To the south-east of Almería stretch two arid and cinematic territories. The Tabernas Desert, the only true desert in mainland Europe, is a Paraje Natural protected since 1989 that spreads across some 11,448 hectares of ramblas and "badlands". A few kilometres away, the Sierra Alhamilla holds a mining and thermal past, and film sets reused by recent blockbusters.
Aboard a two-seater or four-seater buggy, accompanied by guides who know the land, you will leave the tarmac behind to read this landscape from within: dry channels, clay slopes, open horizons and the sets where much of cinema history has been written.
