Las Salinas takes up the middle stretch of the Roquetas coastline, quieter than the central beaches. Dark sand and fine gravel, a gentle entry and one shade pergola, with the town's certified services (Blue Flag, Ecoplayas, ISO 9001).
Behind lie the remains of the old salt pans and their birdlife; ahead, the gulf opens towards Cabo de Gata. In a levante wind the sea stays remarkably calm.
