Fine-sand cove on the Almería-Murcia border, set among sandstone cliffs pierced by historic esparto-grass caves.

Los Cocedores beach, officially Cala Cerrada, lies in Pulpí on the border with Murcia. It is a crescent-shaped cove of barely 150 metres, with fine sand, shallow, crystal-clear water. Its sandstone cliffs hold curious walk-in caves where esparto-grass families once soaked the fibre in water before working it.
