Vera-Playa's veteran water park, open since 1999: a dozen attractions from the vertiginous Kamikaze to the 482-metre Black Flash, plus the Aqualandia kids' zone.

AquaVera has been cooling down summers on Almería's Levante coast since 1999. Located in Vera-Playa beside the AL-7107, it packs a dozen attractions for all ages into grounds with a lake, green areas and full services, a little over an hour from Alhama de Almería.

Star attractions include the Kamikaze, a vertiginous slide over 11 metres high and 130 metres long; the four-lane Aquódromo (148 m) for family races; the Black Hole, 423 metres of twists in total darkness, and its sibling the Black Flash, 482 metres with interior lighting effects. The Río Aventura winds 380 metres with a 12-metre drop, the Tsunami launches the brave down a 13-metre ramp that plunges and climbs again, and the Zig Zag slides intertwine two lanes over 12 metres tall.

For relaxing and for little ones: a wave pool, a large calm-water lake pool, zero-depth interactive AquaJets, the Cubo Splash that dumps hundreds of litres without warning, and Aqualandia, the kids' zone with mini-slides, jets and ramps (up to 1.30 m tall).

The park offers food outlets, float and sunbed rental, security lockers, entertainment, and deals for groups, schools and birthdays. Most of the big slides require a minimum height of 1.20 m.
