History and origin
Olive oil and sugar, a desayuno andaluz filled with memories
Olive oil sinks into the warm crumb and sugar is scattered over it at the end, leaving a light crunch in every bite. It is the sort of home breakfast or snack made without a recipe and remembered for years.
Around 28 February, many schools share it as a desayuno andaluz. Bread, oil and sugar then become a simple celebration of everyday Andalusian culture.
