The tapa

One drink, one tapa. And here, you choose it.

The rule of the game

Order a drink and a free tapa arrives with it, at no extra charge. That's how it works in Alhama and across the province: the tapa comes with the drink, round after round. It's not a promotion — it's the custom.

The three classics

  • Una caña — A well-poured beer, the starting point of any afternoon.
  • Un tinto de verano — Wine with lemon soda and plenty of ice: the long summer drink of Almería.
  • Un mosto — Sweet and alcohol-free — the classic choice so you never miss the tapa.

The bill, kept clear

Drink and tapa run around €3.50 depending on the bar. Two rounds, two tapas: you can eat your way through the evening for barely more than the price of the drinks.

the custom

Here, you choose

Almería isn't the only Andalusian province where the tapa comes with the drink — Granada and Jaén serve it too. What sets Almería apart is the how: you choose the tapa yourself, from a menu or a chalkboard, and you can change it every round. From cherigan to papas a lo pobre, the afternoon becomes a menu built your way.
