Confitería El Once de Septiembre

Confectioner Bakery since 1891
15 km from Alhama

Fried roscos and pestiños at Carnival, roscones at Epiphany and a café terrace open seven days a week: the Almería confectioner founded in 1891.

Confitería El Once de Septiembre has been sweetening Almería for over 130 years: founded in 1891, it is now led by master pastry chef Joaquín Gallardo. The city council recognised it for sweetening Almería's life for over 125 years, and it remains one of the city's emblematic confectioners for its artisan workshop and calendar specialities.

The year unfolds in its window: fried roscos and pestiños at Carnival and Holy Week, roscones at Christmas and Epiphany, and every day croissants, medias noches, palmiers, cakes and ice cream.

The Quinta Avenida shop, with a café and tables inside and out, opens seven days a week; the Concepción Arenal and Castelar counters, Tuesday to Friday, mornings and afternoons.
