Heladería Cafetería Romana opened in 1987 on Avenida Antonio Machado in Roquetas de Mar and still does the same thing: artisan ice cream for the promenade and coffee for after lunch. Almost forty summers behind the same counter says a lot.
What sets it apart today is that nobody leaves without a tub: lactose-free, vegan and sugar-free flavours sit alongside the classics. It is part of the 2026 Guía del Heladero Artesanal.
