Seventy-seven hectares along the river, with a lake of ducks and swans, a skatepark, a cactus garden, barbecues and several play areas. The park that works for the whole family at once.
Seventy-seven hectares along the bed of the Andarax, in the Vega de Acá: 1,240 metres north to south by 400 east to west. This is not a playground, it is a periurban park with room for everything — which is why it works when everyone wants to do something different.
At its centre sits an artificial lake of about 6,900 m² with a geyser and a bridge across it, home to ducks and swans. Around it: a skatepark, a cactus garden, the so-called Bosque de los Niños, an Arab garden, a bandstand, pétanque courts, a school allotment, a pigeon loft and a dog park with an agility course.
Facilities are spread across the grounds — public toilets, drinking fountains, picnic tables and barbecues — and there is parking at the south gate, off the Cabo de Gata road. It is the place in the city where you can spend a whole morning without spending a euro.
