Yeast-free churros, hot chocolate and anis palomita, standing at the corner of Arcipreste de Hita and Santiago: a churro kiosk with a history going back to 1964.
The story of Kiosco Churrería Luis Marín begins in 1964 with Luis Marín, an itinerant churro maker who went from fair to fair. He set up beside the old Gloria petrol station and in 2000, with the Rambla works, moved to the corner of Arcipreste de Hita and Santiago. Today the third generation, Alejandro and Luis Marín, run it with around ten staff.
It is a stand-up kiosk with no tables: you order a portion, dip it in the hot chocolate and carry on walking. The churros are made without yeast, and anyone wanting something stronger has the anis palomita.
