Medias lunas, yemas and murcianas to the 1959 recipes, at the Adra confectioner Manuel Maldonado founded and his son now carries on.
Confitería Pastelería San Isidro was founded in 1959 by Manuel Maldonado Manzano in Adra; his son José Manuel Maldonado and Toñi Viso run it today, keeping the original recipes. The premises were refurbished around 2021-2022 and the house is among the Guía Repsol Soletes.
Its long-standing sweets map out Adra's sweet tooth: medias lunas, yemas, murcianas, chocolate bollos, riñones coated in cream and chocolate and the dulcecico de cucharica, eaten just as its name says: by the spoonful.
